Six Rivers Land Conservancy is seeking an experienced and passionate Development Director to drive investments in conserving the land waters that make the places we live special, to help lead the organization to the next level and to prepare for a leadership transition in the coming years.

Location: Oakland Township, Michigan (Primarily in person)

About Us:

Six Rivers Land Conservancy seeks an experienced Development Director to lead our fund development efforts and contribute to building capacity. Since 1991, we've been conserving and connecting natural areas in Metro Detroit's northern tier. As a regional institution, we're expanding, and we need a dynamic individual to champion our mission.

Responsibilities:

As Development Director, you'll guide the organization to meet financial goals, cultivate relationships with donors, lead annual giving programs, and prepare for future campaigns. Engage staff, board members, and volunteers to achieve fundraising objectives. Oversee grant-seeking, coordinate events, and generate timely reports on progress.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, three years of successful fundraising leadership, familiarity with major gifts and campaigns, and non-profit leadership experience. Excellent communication, planning, and interpersonal skills are crucial.

Compensation:

Commensurate with qualifications, the starting salary is $80,000-$95,000, including health, vision, dental, life insurance, and matching SIMPLE IRA retirement benefits.
