2025 Nature Near You Photo Contest Rules and Submission Guidelines
Nature Lovers, It’s Time to Shine!
Enter the 2025 Nature Near You Photo Contest
Showcase the beauty of Southeastern Michigan through your lens! The 2025 Nature Near You Photo Contest is officially open, and we’re inviting photographers of all experience levels to submit their best shots celebrating the natural wonders of our region.
🌿 Submit up to 5 of your favorite nature photos in JPEG (.jpg) format to SixRiversPhotos@gmail.com by September 9, 2025.
All photos must be taken within the Six Rivers service area — Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, Lapeer, and St. Clair Counties — and captured within two years of the submission date.
Photo Categories:
Landscape – Majestic views, scenic spots, and natural beauty
Birds – Feathered friends in flight or at rest
Wildlife – From deer to dragonflies, celebrate the creatures we share this region with
Special 2025 Category: Six Rivers Protected Properties! – Highlight the unique beauty of lands preserved by Six Rivers
🏆 Prizes & Judging:
1st and 2nd place winners will be chosen in each category
Finalists will be selected by Six Rivers staff via a blind review (no names attached)
Winners will be chosen by public online vote – your community will help decide!
